Strudel making is one of those "made once at culinary school and never again" recipes. I have time off over Christmas this year and I'd love to try this again. Thanks for the new spin on it jack

I know what you mean...it was always out there lingering in the "why-should-I-make-this" world... After spending some time with a trio of Austrian chefs, I started to look at strudels differently...they became pies in my mind instead of some exotic preparation that turned into a stress festival. Once I got over that mental hurdle, everything else fell into place and I started to appreciate these ideas as something exceptional to make and serve... I'm sure your creations will end up beautiful...

My mouth is watering. These look truly wonderful. Sadly, I'm a (sad) g-f person though. I've invented a good g-f pastry but it doesn't hold together well enough for pasties, let alone strudels... Never mind, I've a good imagination.
